EPA's Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) has developed draft documents assessing ecological effects as part of OAR's Second Prospective Analysis of the benefits and costs of the Clean Air Act. OAR has asked the Council to review draft technical documents pertaining to ecological effects associated with air quality scenarios developed using the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model for seven emissions scenarios. OAR has requested that the Council's Ecological Effects Subcommittee review the data choices, methodological choices for analyzing the data, and the overall validity and utility of the estimated changes in ecological effects from air pollution across the different scenarios.
